Born on 3 March 1987 in Mumbai India, Shraddha is not just a popular actor; she is also a known designer, singer and lyricist. Amazed? Yeah, she has her own designer clothing range and has sung a number of songs, but only for the movies she has worked in. To a surprise, let me tell you that Lata Mangeshkar and Asha Bhosle are her grand aunts. Actually Shraddha’s Maternal-Grandfather is Lata-Asha’s cousin, so that’s how singing is in her genes.
Shraddha during her childhood use to accompany her father to his shooting and was fascinated by movies, cameras and acting, but she was somewhat more interested in studies and wanted to be a psychologist. She got offer for her first movie at an age of 16, but she rejected as she wanted to be a psychologist. But when she went to Boston for her higher studies in Psychology, she got an offer for acting in movie Teen Patti which she couldn’t reject and made an entry to Bollywood. Being an actress she says it becomes necessary to go to gym to keep herself in shape. So, she hits the gym 5 days a week. She doesn’t believe in body building exercises, she concentrates mainly on her thighs, legs, shaping her butt and toning her legs.
Her workout at gym includes:
- Treadmill 30-45 minutes
- Front Barbell Squat

Shraddha’s Diet plan is very plain and easy to adopt. She takes care of a few things. She does not include junk food or oil based food in her diet. She tries to have minimum sugar in whatever she eats and try to eat things which are healthy; such as food items rich in proteins, fibre and vitamins, anything that adds up to help your body in only positive way.
Her usual day meals include:
Breakfast: A light breakfast that includes only flattened rice (poha) and a glass of milk. For change she may switch to upma as well and take a glass of juice or fruits in breakfast.
Lunch: A plain lunch comprising of 3-4 chapatis with pulses (dal) and boiled vegetables.
Dinner: One thing that she makes sure about dinner is that she takes dinner early; at max by 8 pm (unlike many of us) and keeps it light. She likes to go for a light dinner comprising of whole wheat bread (2 slices) with some peanut butter. She often drinks a glass of milk with saffron (kesar) at night.
Along with this she makes sure that she drinks minimum 3-4 liters of water per day to keep her hydrated and give her muscles and body the much required nutrients by improving blood flow.
Shraddha also loves eating fruits and having fruit juices. To avoid in meal snacks, she keeps her stomach busy with fruits and juices. She loves to try the natural fruits and juices because she thinks that natural fruits and juices not just adds nutrients to body but also adds to one’s beauty.
She also includes green tea in her daily diet; it keeps her metabolism active and also boosts her immune system and helps her stay healthy and fit.

One thing that she makes sure before she uses any make-up is that she coats her skin with a good moisturizer. Also she makes sure she removes every single part of makeup before she goes to sleep.
She goes with natural oil for her hair and prefers natural hair massage and deep tissue head massage rather than head spa. She is of the opinion that massages help in making the roots of the hair stronger and healthy and results in beautiful long hair.
She uses natural hair packs to keep her hair well-nourished and silky. Her hair pack consists of aloe-vera, hibiscus leaves or flower and curd. The mixture of these is coated on the hair and kept for 20 minutes. Later rinse the hair with water smoothly. These results in soft, smooth hair which are shiny and strong.
She uses hair serum and shampoo regularly to keep her hair straight and shiny.
