No, not just for dark circle lightening, the color changing property of cucumber makes it a must for de-tan. You have severely tanned skin, apply grated cucumber or a blend of cucumber juice and curd for a cooling de-tan. Wash it off within 20 minutes.
Yoghurt is not just an ideal food for weight-loss but is also very effective for de-tanning skin after a long day out in the sun. It helps clear dead cells, and keep skin pores healthy and clean. A mixture of yoghurt and turmeric is the most common household trick to get rid of tan and get a glowing skin. Apply directly on the target areas and wash with cool water after it dries.

Apart from these, you may also find orange peels quite effective in the sense, then is the mixture of milk with turmeric or saffron, mixture of curd and chickpea flour… and many more in the queue are there. And above all, try to avoid sun exposure during peak hours (10 am – 4pm) any further until you have de-tanned.
