Did you had a great festive season, and enjoyed a lot at Christmas and New Year’s Eve? Christmas then New Year, back to back non-stop parties, boozes, outside food huh..!! It’s pretty obvious most us would get overindulged in this season of joy and happiness and then regret afterwards. The increased weight, that sluggish feeling every time, shrunk jeans; all makes us think at least once that we shouldn’t have done that much. But, no worries, your friend, your nutritionist, your health guide is here to take you out of all your problems.
Now when the festive season has gone, it’s time to start thinking about getting our health back on track! The most important thing you all need to know here is, continuous intake of spicy, oily and fried food accompanied by booze and other mocktails creates lard and toxins in our body; which further leads to all these problems of increased weight, tiredness and is even harmful for certain organs like lever and stomach specially. Now it’s our duty to not to carry all this junk any further to our new year, a new chapter of our lives in which we have to achieve a lot of new targets. All this toxin and lard inside our body is like an unattended laundry left alone, it will stay there and pile up day after day.
Forget what you think you know about detoxing: juice-only diets and herbal supplements are not the healthiest ways to cleanse the body. But after a period of overindulging, feeling lighter is what many of us crave. Instead of going to extreme measures, opt for these eight natural ways to detox the body to feel healthier, more energized, and focused!
- Drink Water:
Water here means lots and lots of water. Starting from the morning, on an empty stomach to before any diet, one hour after diet and in the mean time you need to drink water. Make sure you are drinking at least 4 litres of water a day. This doesn’t mean you have to suddenly increase your intake of diet, one can’t do that, it will take some time, but is an easily achievable target. Water for the liver is like gas for your car. The main idea behind drinking water is that, more you’ll drink, the more you’ll pee and more easily you’ll empty your stomach that will make sure that all the toxins are getting out of body time to time and peeing is one of the best ways to detoxify your body.
- Steam bath:
Yes..!! A simple and easy steam bath is also a way you can detoxify your body. Steam bath increases the body temperature, which makes the fat accumulated to the corners (belly, back and thighs) in our body to detach from the body, and when it sweats, all those toxins comes out with sweat. Peeing and sweating are the only two ways you can kick out the toxins from your body. And perhaps who won’t like to take a steam bath in this chilly winter and if you know it is also going to help you detoxify, then you are surely going to enjoy it even more.
- Stop Coffee Intake:
Now don’t think I have decided to take away everything you love to do away from you. Avoiding coffee for the time being is really required because ingredients in coffee can interfere with normal drug metabolism and detoxification in the liver making it difficult to regulate the normal detoxification process in the liver. If you won’t put a stop to caffeine all the other steps you’ll take will have zero or negligible effect on the detoxification process.
- Include Green Tea:
Green tea is loaded with catechins, a type of plant antioxidant that has been shown in studies to eliminate liver fat accumulation and promote proper liver function. This powerful herbal beverage also protects the liver against toxins that would otherwise accumulate and cause serious damage. Thus, the better is the functioning of lever; the better will be the detoxification ability of body and sooner you’ll be able to get rid off the toxins and fat you have accumulated.
Walking, jogging, running, swimming, cycling, yoga or gyming; do whatever you want to do, just keep your body moving. The basic idea behind this is, first of all, any of these exercise will get the blood flowing, which helps to transport toxins out of the body. And secondly the more physical activities you’ll do, the more you’ll sweat and the more you’ll sweat, the faster you’ll get the toxins out of body. Plus it will help burn the extra fat accumulated that will ultimately make you more active and improve the digestion process which is the key factor to restore the health.
- Make Place for Green Leafy Vegetables:
Leafy green vegetables such as arugula, spinach, mustard greens, and chicory also contain numerous cleansing compounds that neutralize heavy metals, which can bear heavily on the liver. Leafy greens also eliminate pesticides and herbicides from the body, and increase the creation of cleansing bile. These green vegetables will also provide body with the essential nutrients, vitamins and minerals that body could have gone deprive of.
- Change the Diet:
Try and include some special detoxing ingredients into your diet like garlic and turmeric. These two are well known for maintaining a healthy lever and help activate its functioning to further speed up the detoxification process. Another important item you can include is walnut. It will not only help lever in detoxifying but will also help oxygenate the blood that will ultimately make your body less prone to diseases.
- Fruit Juice:
Direct fruit or its juice whichever form you like you can have. Fruits like orange and grapes which are rich in vitamin C and antioxidants can play a vital role in detoxifying and recovering from this state because vitamin C is one of the most powerful cleanser. It also boosts the production of lever detoxifying enzymes and they also contain flavonoids that makes lever burn fat rather than to store them.
These are the eight easy and natural ways that can bring your life back on track by detoxifying the waste and removing all the extra fat.
There are so many benefits of detoxing the body. One of the most obvious is that it allows toxins to be removed from the body, which boosts our immune system. Protects you from unknown weight gain, and even brings the glow of skin back.
Do try these tips and let me know if these tips work out for you as well.
