8 Face Yoga Poses for Beginners

  1. Balloon pose

Breathe in from your mouth and hold the air in it for about 10 seconds and then release slowly.

Repeat for 3-5 times.

This will help in preventing acne and reduce pigmentation. It will strengthen cheek muscles and hence reduce any chances of wrinkles as you grow older.

 

  1. Fish pose

It’s a very fun pose and you must have done it in your childhood. Suck your cheeks in and make a fish with your lips.

Hold this pose for about 10 -15 seconds and then relax.

Repeat it for 3- 5 times to get results.

This pose will work on your jaw line and help in reducing fat from your chin area. People with double chin must try this pose to get a more structured chin and jawline.

Close your both fists and make V with your index and middle finger.

Now place our middle fingers on side of nose and index finger at the end of eyes.

Hold it there and press slightly.

First look up and then look down, just with your eyes (don’t move your head).

  1. Mindfulness

Place fingers of both your hands at the center of your forehead.

Press slightly and hold it for 5 seconds.

Now move your hands towards end of your eyebrows, keep pressing gently.

Hold it for another 5 seconds at the end of your eyes.

Close your eyes and rotate your eyeball clockwise 5 times using your index fingertip and then 5 times anti-clockwise.

This will get rid of all your stress and tiredness.

 

  1. Squeeze pose

Try shutting your eyes and mouth as tight as you can.

Do that for 6-8 second and then relax.

This one pose will stretch all your face muscles and will help in releasing tension.

 

  1. Spoon pose

Hold a spoon firmly with your lips and jaw muscles.

Then try to smile, this will move the spoon upwards.

Hold this position for 10 seconds and then relax for 5 seconds.

Repeat this pose 5 times to get sculpted jaw line.

This will also help in reducing double chin.

 

  1. Detox pose

Hold your chin with both your hands and now move your hands across jaw line towards end of respective ears.

Then place your fingers under your eyes and move your fingers towards ear while pressing gently.

Next step will be to place both hands in the middle of forehead and then move towards end of eyes.

This 3-step massage will get rid of all toxins from your skin.

  1. Palming pose

In the end, rub your hands together and then place them over your face covering all the way from forehead to your chin.
