Sonu Sood is primarily an Indian actor gone international in the recent past. He has acted in multilingual films like Hindi, Punjabi, Kannada, Telugu, etc. Born on July 30, 1973 in Moga, Punjab. He was also a Mr. India contestant in 1996. Apart from acting, he has also done modeling and film-production projects.

After completing his graduation in electrical engineering, he did modeling and fashion shows in Nagpur, attended Ramp shows for various designers and realized that he had talent for the industry.
After that Sonu moved to Mumbai and got into Bollywood. He has acted in a number of films in different languages ever since.
He is also playing a role in the upcoming movie Padmavati co-starring Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor.

Sonu Sood is always regular for his gym regimes and workouts. His gym training last around two and a half hours.
He makes sure to do his functional and cross training laying main emphasis on free weights and body weight for his workout.
Sonu Sood prefers working with light weights and just increases the number of sets to maintain a rhythm.
Every Day Sonu works on two body parts in gym. Although striking a balance between upper and lower body workouts is important to him, he nowadays has stepped up his lower body training to tackle his back problem.

Sonu says that there is no shortcut to having a good body. One should strategize and follow a strict regime for his/her goals but without getting much stressed about it.
Nutrition and Diet Plan
Sonu is extremely disciplined with his healthy fooding habits. He says that he has no cheat days as such. Being a Punjabi, Sonu loves sweets but after entering the profession he gave it all up except the sweet savory, rasgolla. His diet includes a lot of fruits, omelets, oat meals, grains and lentils. He tries six meals each day with each meal separated by two hours intervals.

Sonu never skips his breakfast, often comprising of muesli or wheat flakes, omelets made of 8 egg whites, fruits and fruit juice.
His lunch comprises of a small bowl of brown rice, dal (pulses) and salad, sometimes also a bowl of curd.
For evening snacks, Sonu either takes fruits or coconut water and brown bread sandwich while for dinner he takes protein shake and egg whites with veggies and a bowl of soup.
He also likes to have his protein shake after a workout session with salad and sprouts.
Sonu is fully vegetarian and avoids junk food, smoking and drinking. Sonu is not very fond of carbs in his diet. They add to the water retention in the body. So if he has to look lean for a role, he avoids salt and carbs completely for a day or two.
Idols, Influences and Motivation
Sonu Sood finds Sylvester Stallone as his fitness idol, along with Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan. For him going to the gym is like performing an important daily ritual. He says after working out hard, you just cannot let that spent effort to go to waste and this motivates him to further keep himself fit and healthy.
