The longer the name of this fruit is… even longer is the list of its benefits on health.
Listed a few Benefits of Pomegranate below:
Pomegranates contain Paraoxonase—a naturally occurring enzyme in the body that prevents LDL (bad cholesterol) from accumulating in the arteries. Thus keeping the blood flow normal throughout and not allowing it to get shallow or blocked, hence helping in maintaining blood pressure and keeping heart diseases at bay. There are studies which show that people who drink pomegranate juice for two weeks have increased production of enzymes in body, which not only improves blood health, but also improves the quality of blood, making it very good for health of overall body.
Helpful for Arthritis Patients:
Studies have shown that pomegranate extract can block enzymes that are known to damage joints in people with osteoarthritis. Both pomegranate seed oil and pomegranate fruit extract have anti-inflammatory properties that helps to control the damage of the joints caused by osteoarthritis Hence providing a great relief to patients from the unbearable pain. Not just this, in Ayurveda, it has been mentioned that pomegranate juice helps regain the decreased grease in the knee, back and finger joints, which is the root cause of pain in 60% of the cases.

Actually pomegranate is rich in polyphenolic flavonoid which is a famous source of antibacterial properties. Pomegranate juice has been found to be more effective than any prescribed mouthwash for plaque, the bacteria that cause cavities and gingivitis. Thus, drinking pomegranate juice is surely a better option than using mouth washes available at pharmacy stores, as most of them contain alcohol.

A single pomegranate contains nearly a quarter of the daily recommended amount of dietary fibre, which helps you feel full and maintain a healthy weight. In short, helps you lose weight. The lesser you’ll feel hungry, the lesser you’ll eat and the lesser you’ll eat; more the body fat will be burned. And the high amount of fibre also helps in maintaining water to salt balance inside our body and helps maintain a healthy bowel movement, which means less accumulation of toxins inside body.
Since ancient times, pomegranates have been considered as a symbol of fertility. A glass of pomegranate juice can boost testosterone levels in both men and women. As mentioned above, it helps maintain a good flow of blood throughout body(means including genital organs). For men, the more the blood flows into penis, the harder it would become and more are the chances of a good erection. Also pomegranate contains certain compounds that are similar to sex steroids, which improves sex stamina and desires as well.

Pomegranates are rich in anti-inflammatory compounds which are highly beneficial for those suffering from disorders like arthritis. Also they are a rich source of vitamin C which boost anti body production and develops immunity in the body.
